Feelings Friday

During my first months of sobriety, I found myself dreading the weekend for the first time! I was scared of the temptations and being off of my routine. If you are feeling those feels, you are not alone! Fridays are tough! They are a transition that needs attention and extra care. Make sure to give yourself grace and lot's of love during your first few Fridays! Find a meeting, reach out to other sober folks, take a nap (my favorite), take a walk in nature, rearrange your living room. Whatever you need to help yourself feel the Friday feels! Always remember, we love you and you are not alone!

ABOUT ME

Profile.jpg

I'm Amanda! I am a mother, a wife, a teacher, and I am sober. I am living my truth out loud and proudly. My journey has not been an easy one into the world of recovery, but I am here and am so excited to share my story with you! Like so many other moms out there (bio, bonus, foster, ALL moms), I found comfort and solace in a bottle of wine. When the woes of parenthood flooded my mind and body, I learned to deal by numbing. Numbing the pain, the fear, the anxiety, the shame. Numbing all of the bad.

Unfortunately, numbing is not selective. You cannot choose to just numb the bad and ugly emotions. When you numb, you numb it all. I am ready to feel again. Bring on ALL THE FEELS!
